When I think of landscapes I think of images such as vast areas of land that contain the sky a mountain range, lots of nature such as trees and massive areas of greenery. Some of the images below are what comes to mind when I think of landscapes. I think of landscapes as a rectangular shape rather than a portrait shape. I have also chosen images that have lots of bright colours from the landscapes as these colours also come to mind when I think of landscapes.
what is a landscape?
Mountain landscapes. We can see mountains, with narrow rivers, forests, villages and steep roads.
Flat landscapes. We can see flat land, wide rivers, farms, cities and motorways.
Coastal landscapes. We can see cliffs, the sea and tourist towns.
The landscape is everything you can see when you look across an area of land, including hills, rivers, buildings, trees, and plants. A landscape is all the features that are important in a particular situation. An example of landscape is a green and hilly forest, which has a lush landscape. An example of landscape is the plans, shrubs and bushes that have been planted to make a house look nicer. When I go out eg. dog walk, sometimes i may take a landscape image of where i have been or if it may be dark i take one of the view. Words that remind me of the word landscape:
land
grass
image
buildings
paintings/art gallary
trees
flowers
the sky
the coulers green,blue, bright coulers
bushes
leaves

First Experiments
In this lesson I went around the school and took different photos. And after I put them into different filters, I wanted with composition and how I like the images to appear. If I was to do this again I would make it so there is more nature in my images, more greenery. What I like about theses photos are that they reflect through the door and show the back ground though the door. Theses pictures are good but it would be better if I framed it better and the was better lighting and it would of made them more pleasing. I'd like to take more images of nature.
Awoiska Molen
Awiska Molen is 49 year old , Dutch photographer. Who lives and works in Amsterdam. She has produced three books of black and white landscape photographs, between 2000 & 2003, she made portraits of charismatic women she met on the streets of Manhattan, later switching to people judged by different criteria After that she turned to photographing anonymous buildings at the edge of the city.
Luke Saxon
Luke saxon is a 23 year old photographer. He has a degree in photography from the University of Central Lancashire, His work has been shown at Touchstones Rochdale, The Whitworth in Manchester, The Fishing Quarter Gallery in Brighton, The Photographers’ Gallery in London and Manchester Contemporary. His work is very interesting as it is very colourful unlike other artists work, he uses bright colours such as green, blue, yellow and so on. I like the way how he uses two or more different photos and makes them into one but that look like they meant to be one whole image.
Liesl Pfeffer
I was. first attracted to the work of Lisl Pfeffer's work because of the bright colours. I think that the work looks more like a sculpture than a flat photograph. I found out that she makes books too as well as photographs. This links to my own work, her photographic images are more constructed examples of photographic images.
